I think the citizens could take the opportunity provided by the government for filling their objections about Sakrama. The new notifications is out and the last date for filing objections is 29th March 2008. There are lots of anamolies in the penalities imposed on citizens. The biggest being the variable penality for people owning a 40×60 site and bigger dimension sites/lands and others owning a less dimension sites have been asked to pay 1/4 the cost of the original penality. For a popular government all the citizens are same, like children of the same parents, you cannot give/take - more/less from different children of your own. It defy the natural law the spirit of being in a democracy and we being Indians. I call upon all the citizens to file in their objections to the Hon Governor of Karnataka. A written ojection will help one and all. Please Note the Sakrama is applicable for whole of Karnataka and implications are very high and very little time to protest.
