Bangalore International Airport is almost 77% complete. Some of the features and completion update.
- Terminal building lets in so much natural light that at 4.30 pm on a cloudy day, no interior lighting is needed.
- The architecture design helps in keeping out 80% of the heat and let in 80% of the light by initilligent postioning of glass panes.
- Design for easy passenger flow.
- Baggage will be security checked five times but passenger is kept out of it.
- Entire terminal is Wi-Fi enabled.
- Shopping areas and lounges in geometric designs with bright colours.
- First airport in India to have a hotel right in front of the terminal and an integrated systems room where all facets - baggage handling, apron handling, caterer, secutiry, ground handler, immigration will be seated together.
