A T Ramaswamy Joint Legislature Committee this week had a hectic inspections and detected encroachments of government land. Some the the places and survey number released to the press include the following.
1.The whole konenaagrahara water tank adjacent to airport road in total of 20 Acres and 10 Guntas has been fully encroached upon. There was a private educational institution and more than 15 apartments blocks illegally constructed. The committee has valued the whole encroachment at Rs.600 crores.
2.The JLC also found another three encroachments along airport road, where some of the encrached land house prominent banks, IT companies and restaurants. Where the committee put the encroachment value of land at Rs.62 crore.
A.The survey no.101 has 25 Guntas of land encroached.
B.The survey no.104 has 10 Guntas of land encroached.
C.The survey no.107 has 27 Guntas of land encroached.
3.The committe also found that the the Byrasandra lake in Utarahalli Hobli to the extent of 15 Acres encroached upon. It also found that the whole lake was mortagaged to a bank with false and fixious documents created and in turn the loan was defaulted and the whole land was auctioned by the bank through Debt Recovery Tribunal without knowing that this was government land for paltry Rs.7.6 Crores for another company. The JLC put the value of land at Rs.200 crores in present market condition.
The property investors have been advised to show retrain in investing on properties in this areas.
