CMDA has published its Draft Master Plan -2, in Government Gazette on 11.04.2007.
Projected population of Chennai City is 59 Lakhs and CMA 125 Lakhs by 2026. Majority of population will live in the rest of CMA by 2026.
Vision 2026 is to make chennai a prime metropolis which will be more livable, economically vibrant and environmentally sustainable, and with better assets for the future generations. More information can be had from CMDA website.
