Devanahalli International Airport may get completed ahead of scheduled completion time of April 2008. There was hardly any rain this rainy season and the construction work did not stop because of rain. As L & T has a very good track record of completing all projects on time, we can look forward to a brand new airport for Bangalore. The airport has been named Bangalore International Airport like any other city of the world.
Even though the airport got delayed for almost 8 years, we should always look at the positive side of the achivement. This is the first greenfield airport in India with the Government and Private partnership. I really hope the government has a plan to upgrade as and when they see the demand way ahead before the demand overshoots the capacity.
